Yaoli & more

We are having a great time here! Time is going by very quickly and we are only just working out all the possibilities of work we can make. Everyone is really nice here and the staff are wonderful. I can see how the second trip back is where you make all your work as you can plan for what is here before you come.

Myself and Erin just got back from Yellow Mountain which was amazing! Tunxi (Yellow Mountain City) had a really beautiful old street with some great shops and antique stores. We went to Yaoli yesterday which is a little town about 1 and 1/2 hours away. We stopped off at a lovely village with lots of old buildings and I think the locals were a bit amazed to see so many foreigners.

Then we went to the Tianbo Dragon Kiln just out of Yaoli to see it being fired. It is a 64m long chamber kiln that goes up a hill. Peter and I had our lecture on Friday which went quite well I think! We had lots and lots of questions at the end! Erin and Sarah are on this Friday.

Erin, Sarah and I are off to Xian on the 23rd and then Beijing after that and then home so we have only just over a week here and lots to do!
